Today's real estate market has opened up incredible opportunities for families looking to buy a new home in Las Cruces. 
For instance, Sonoma Ranch which is one of the most desireable and well planned communities in Las Cruces seems to have slowed down.
Sonoma Ranch continues to be a great place to live. It's home to my favorite and Las Cruces' newest golf course. It has some great parks with covered equipment and open green space. The homes in Sonoma Ranch are still some of the best designed in southern New Mexico. In fact, I'd say it's even more desirable today considering the market.
The market hit Sonoma Ranch harder than other places because it's new. Many builders and real estate agents moved there. Retirees and investors who may have been more immediately impacted by the stock market moved into Sonoma Ranch. And on the outer edges builders are still sitting on many lots.
As one of these builders I can tell you that it is frustrating to pay interest on a piece of dirt. But as an objective viewer I can tell you that if you are looking to buy a new home in Las Cruces these lots are prime real estate at great deals!
I currently have 3 more lots in Sonoma Ranch East. Sonoma East is on the eastern edge of Sonoma Ranch. These are great lots in a great family community with a neighborhood park half a block away. I'd bet that I could build you the best deal in town if you're interested.
