Build Green New Mexico

Build Green New Mexico - Our Las Cruces Home QualifyBuild Green New Mexico is a statewide program for certifying Green Residential Building. It is housed under the Foundation For Building (FFB), a non profit that also support affordable housing and builder education.

The program began in 2006 and was based on the NAHB Model Green Home Building Guidelines. In 2009, Build Green NM adopted the new ANSI National Green Building Standard. This Standard raised the bar for Green Building in NM.

Build Green New Mexico encourages homebuilders to use products, technologies and practices that:

* Provide greater energy efficiency and reduce pollution
* Provide healthier indoor air
* Reduce water usage
* Preserve natural resources
* Improve durability and reduce maintenance
